Українсько-польсько-англійський словник з футболу

Член правління WM PL Аґнєшка Квєцєнь (Nova) запропонувала ідею спільного українсько-польського проекту в рамках підготовки до Євро-2012 — укладання на основі Вікісловників Українсько-польсько-англійського словника термінів з футболу.

У зв'язку з цим слід знайти особу, яка би взялася за управління цим проектом з української сторони. Можливо також слід створити загальне оголошення для виявлення бажаючих працювати над цим проектом. На цей проект можна спробувати знайти кошти в державних органах, які займаються Євро-2012.

Ось що відповіли поляки:

Cześć, Projekt słownika piłkarskiego na Euro 2012 jest rozwijany na polskim Wikisłowniku (wikt:pl:Wikisłownik:Słownik piłkarski WikiEuro. Ma to być słownik tematyczny dostępny w dwóch wersjach: wersja on-line we wszystkich językach krajów biorących udział w rozgrywkach, wersja drukowana w językach polsko-ukraińsko-angielskim. Indeksy wszystkich słowniczków zgrupowane są w kategorii: wikt:pl:Kategoria:Słowniczek_piłkarski. Bardzo liczymy na waszą pomoc przy rozwijaniu słownika, szczególnie w części ukraińskiej wikt:pl:Indeks:Ukraiński_-_Słowniczek_piłkarski. Praca, którą na obecnym etapie trzeba wykonać to: uzupełnienie indeksu o odpowiednie tłumaczenia i napisanie haseł opisujących te słowa ukraińskie, które jeszcze nie są opisane (na wzór: wikt:pl:фол#uk. Tak opracowane dane posłużą potem do przygotowania wersji do druku - specjalny bot automatycznie pobierze odpowiednie treści, które przekażemy osobie odpowiedzialnej za skład. Całym projektem w Wikisłowniku opiekuje się użytkowniczka wikt:pl:User:Zu, zaś użytkowniczka wikt:pl:User:Rovdyr opiekuje się w szczególności częścią ukraińską. Rovdyr opracowuje też rozmówki polsko-ukraińsko-angielskie, które mają być dodane do drukowanego słownika. Jeśli ktoś chciałby jej w tym pomóc, bardzo zachęcam do skontaktowania się z nią. Привіт! Проект футбольного словника до Євро 2012 початий у польському Вікісловнику pl:Wikisłownik:Słownik piłkarski WikiEuro. Це має бути тематичний словник, доступний у двох версіях: он-лайн в усіх мовах країн, що приймають участь в іграх, друкована версія у польсько-українсько-англійській версіях. Індекси усіх словничків згруповані в категорії: pl:Kategoria:Słowniczek_piłkarski. Дуже розраховуємо на вашу допомогу при розвитку словника, зокрема в українській частині pl:Indeks:Ukraiński_-_Słowniczek_piłkarski. Поточна робота: доповнення індексу відповідними перекладами і написання статей, що описуватимуть українські слова, кортих ще немає (напр. pl:фол#uk). Ці опрацьовані дані послужать потім у приготуванні версії для друку — спеціяльний бот автоматичн візьме відповідний зміст, що передадуть особі, відповідальній за набір (верстку). Знову про джерела для наповнення Вікісловника

Безцінні російсько-українські словники 1890-1930 років опубліковані на http://r2u.org.ua Вони дійсно містять практично всю втрачену нині українську автентичну лексику.

• Російсько-український академічний словник. А. Кримський, С. Єфремов 1924—1933, 64&nbsp.484 статей
• Російсько-український фразеологічний словник, В. Підмогильний, Є. Плужник, 1928
• Російсько-український словник технічної термінології, І. Шелудько, Т. Садовський, 1928
• Російсько-український словник ділової мови, М. Дорошенко, М. Станиславський, В. Страшкевич, 1930
• Російсько-український словник правничої мови, В. І. Войткевич-Павлович, Г. Д. Вовкушівський та інші, 1926
• Російсько-український словник сталих виразів І. О. Вирган, М. М. Пилинська

Ці словники є в електронному виді, містять чудові синонімічні ряди. Питання лише в тому, щоб залити їх до бази Вікісловника.

Коли Мустафа Кемаль Ататюрк в 1920 починав реформу турецької мови, вона містила лише 20 відсотків слів тюркського походження. Решта були арабські, перські, французькі. В 1980 в турецькій мові залишилося лише 10 відсотків слів іншомовного походження. Розвиток йшов шляхом відновлення давно забутих слів, осучасненням їх і навіть наданням нового змісту. Шаблон словоформ при створенні нової статті

Наповнення словника

Давно пора запустити бота. Використовуючи матеріали он-лайн словників (а їх уже буде достатньо для бази). Словники захищаються авторським правом, але мова - ні. Тому якщо скомпонувати кілька джерел, це буде якраз те, що треба. Словник "Уліф" може пригодитися, бо там є словозміна. Можна написати скрипт, який би перетворював їхні таблички у наші (писати таблички повністю, думаю, боту легше задати, бо визначити словозміну він напевно сам не зможе). Словники, наведені вище на цій сторінці паном Пероганичем узагалі вільне. Ну, і так далі --Tomahiv 17:25, 26 лютого 2010 (UTC)

Братцы, насчет ULIF - я бы не спешил: там дана только внешняя форма, а здесь хотелось бы делать с помощью (полу)интеллектуальных шаблонов, чтобы были указаны типы (индексы) словоизменения. А это так просто не перекодируешь, надо вручную. --Al Silonov 23:10, 26 лютого 2010 (UTC)

Знову про наповнення словника

Шановне вікітовариство! Значно полегшити створення статей можна за допомогою інструменту, подібного до того, який у Родоводі дозволяє добавити нову людину до проекту. Пан Albedo у своїй публікації на ЖЖ укрвікі помістив знимок подібної програми. Коментарів на кшталт "нащо воно нам" прохання уже не писати, подібних вистачає. Натомість усіх, хто знає щось про такі інструменти, закликаю якось влаштувати його в українському вікісловнику. Був би вельми вдячний --Tomahiv 23:19, 19 березня 2010 (UTC)

В мене з програмуванням все більш-менш може бути. Принаймі API медіавікі я вже на читання вкурив.

Маю питання: а чи немає якогось клієнта для вікісловника? Все що мені треба - це для кожного слова певної мови знати список варіантів перекладу. Ну і можливість додавати/редагувати ці варіанти. Просто зручно складати словники під час вивчення мови, але лазити по статті з купою розділів які мені абсолютно непотрібні мало хочеться. А якщо немає клієнта - поясніть яким чином можна знайти цей список на сторінці слова, може сам такого напишу.

В гугла немає есперанто, це раз. А ще гугл тупий, перекладає статистично, і його словник такий самий, це два. І для чого ж іще може бути словник, як не шукати значення слів? --Bunyk 08:48, 16 грудня 2010 (UTC)

Задані питання слід принаймні, розділяти, а не валити усі питання щодо наповнення на кучу. це для кожного слова певної мови знати список варіантів перекладу. Є такий проєкт slovnyk.org де зібрані вільні «словники», чи пак, відповідники перекладу на різні мови. Вся справа в тому, що ті «словники» — суть інтервікі, і, відповідно, не прямими перекладами чи їх варіантами. Крім того, він машинотвірний, тобто ніяка людина не відповідає за його якість, що не єсть ґуд. Щодо наповнення з xdxf.revdanica.com — я був би не проти, аби лише були якісні статті, а не машинотвірні словники. Крім того, перш за все слід побачити тестові статті для нашого Вікісловника, адже, приміром заливка A1 нім-укр. словника була геть кепською:(--Albedo 16:22, 25 грудня 2010 (UTC)

Захист

В русском Викисловаре было принято решение - обратиться к стюардам с предложением закрыть для незарегистрированных пользователей 3 пространства имен: основное, Категории и Шаблоны. Обсуждению посвящен раздел ru:Викисловарь:Организационные вопросы#Закрытие основного пространства имен, категорий и шаблонов для анонимов, проект обращения - тут: ru:Участник:Al Silonov/Проект обращения к стюардам). Не захочет ли украинское сообщество активных участников присоединиться к инициативе? Насколько я вижу, здесь тоже деятельность анонимов - на 95% вредоносна, а доля анонимов в полезных изменениях - не больше 5%. --Al Silonov 21:08, 8 квітня 2010 (UTC)

Не дуже розумію, нащо. Наскільки я пам'ятаю, наразі в нас максимум одне вандальне редагування аноніма на день, в проекті є достатньо активних користувачів і 5 адміністраторів, чого з головою вистачить для боротьби з таким вандалізмом. Крім того, від анонімів є досить значний конструктивний внесок, наприклад, Спеціальна:Contributions/114.233.134.83 (який у Вікіпедії не реєструється принципово) створив ряд статей про китайські слова. За останні два тижні я нарахував 10 шкідливих редагувань анонімів та 65 корисних, тобто співвідношення майже протилежне. Єдиний випадок вандалізму в історії словника був пов'язаний з більш ніж сотнею вандальних перейменувань, але захист від анонімів навряд чи цьому зарадив би. Тому я вважаю цей захід зайвим: вандалізм наразі не є значною проблемою (та й проблемою взагалі), а от корисні редагування анонімів ми втратимо — NickK 21:49, 10 квітня 2010 (UTC)

Она не стоит остро, поскольку Вікісловник пока практически пустой и мало кому известный. Но важно, что проблема уже стоит - вся процентная статистика, приводимая для русского Викисловаря, годится и для украинского, и для белорусского разделов (думаю, и для английского/французского....) тоже. А по мере наполнения словаря и роста его известности будет происходить только обострение проблемы. Дело не в остроте, а в принципе: создание словаря - не массовое дело, 10 постоянных квалифицированных участников полезнее и продуктивнее, чем 500 случайных и неквалифицированных. Но, разумеется, мнение большинства я переламывать не буду. Если местное сообщество готово работать в таком режиме (терпеть значительный процент заведомо лишних транзакций и постоянно зазря, впустую рисковать качеством), то, как говорится, красиво жить не запретишь. --Al Silonov 08:41, 11 квітня 2010 (UTC)

Вот свежий и наглядный пример: милейший (без всякой иронии) аноним 114.233.140.146 очень старается, занимаясь здесь китайским языком; он вполне добросовестно создает множество статей и категорий. С точки зрения концепции словаря и принятых правил/стандартов - это всё мусор, который проще удалить и заново создать правильно, чем редактировать. Я этим заниматься не буду. Собственно, я лично пришел в uk: затем, чтобы помочь проекту с самого начала уяснить концепцию и выстроить систему для ее реализации. Эту свою задачу я выполнил и мог бы дальше не особо волноваться, но судьба этого раздела мне небезразлична. Только у меня не всегда хватает времени и сил, чтобы полноценно заниматься украинским разделом, и хочется тратить время и силы на реально полезную, созидательную работу, а не выслеживание и откаты ерунды. --Al Silonov 09:04, 11 квітня 2010 (UTC)

Я бы поддержал Эла. Посмотрим сначала, что скажут стюарды на такой запрос со стороны русского словаря (не противоречит он основным принципам википроектов). Вообще, Ник и Томахив в последнее время здесь чаще появляются (Ник вообще везде успевает), если они будут успевать исправлять последствия анонимов, тогда не надо. 2010 Fundraising Is Almost Here

Hello Wikimedians, my name is Sam and I am working for the Wikimedia Foundation during the 2010 Fundraiser. My job is to be the liaison between the Ukrainian community and the Foundation. This year's fundraiser is intended to be a collaborative and global effort; we recognize that banner messages which may perform well in the United States don't necessarily translate well, or appeal to international audiences.

I am currently looking for translators who are willing to contribute to this project by helping translate and localize messages into Ukrainian and suggesting messages that would appeal to Ukrainian readers on the Fundraising Meta Page. We've started the setup on meta for both banner submission, statistical analysis, and grouping volunteers together.
Use the talk pages on meta, talk to your local communities, talk to others, talk to us, and add your feedback to the proposed messages as well! I look forward to working with you during this year's fundraiser. Действительно хочется всё максимально перевести на стандартные шаблоны (фактически вся статья должна быть единым шаблоном, чтобы никто не мог произвольно переставить или удалить стандартные разделы. Но решать это надо на уровне движка. Вместо нынешнего инструментария, унаследованного из Википедии, следовало бы ввести объектно-ориентированный редактор, в котором стандартными командами было "Добавить язык", "Добавить лексему", "Добавить значение" и т. п.... --Al Silonov 12:52, 23 березня 2011 (UTC)

По поводу перехода на единый шаблон — не соглашусь, что это лучше. Я, например, привык редактировать статьи по разделам (так меньше текста в браузер загружается, к тому же легче найти нужное место в статье). А так придется править всю статью сразу.--Анатолій (обг.) 19:30, 27 березня 2011 (UTC)

Проти. Зараз в нас шаблоном лише назва мови ({{[[Шаблон:{{{1}}}|{{{1}}}]]}} і подібні), і через це посилання на редагування цього розділу вже не працює як слід. Якщо всі шаблони перевести на підрозділи, то редагування статті взагалі зламається — NickK 17:07, 27 березня 2011 (UTC)

Порожні розділи

Пропоную приховати порожні розділи у статтях знаками <!-- -->. Як засвідчила практика, користувачі їх практично не наповнюють, натомість сприйняттю інформації вони сильно заважають, адже додають велику кількість неінформативного тексту. --A1 15:36, 22 березня 2011 (UTC)

Як на мене, це хоч якось стимулює доповнити статтю. Не помітити значення слова просто неможливо, тож сприйняттю вони не так і шкодять, зате порожні розділи створюють уявлення, що «тут щось має бути» замість «тут зовсім порожньо». А щодо доповнення, то Вікісловник мало редагують, і я не бачив взагалі жодного прикладу, коли не активний користувач доповнював статтю без шаблона, тобто в статті не було розділу, наприклад, синоніми, а він його додавав. Call for image filter referendum

Announcing Wikipedia 1.19 beta

Wikimedia Foundation is getting ready to push out 1.19 to all the WMF-hosted wikis. As we finish wrapping up our code review, you can test the new version right now on beta.wmflabs.org. For more information, please read the release notes or the start of the final announcement.

The following are the areas that you will probably be most interested in:

• Faster loading of javascript files makes dependency tracking more important.
• New common*.css files usable by skins instead of having to copy piles of generic styles from MonoBook or Vector's css.
• The default user signature now contains a talk link in addition to the user link.
• Searching blocked usernames in block log is now clearer.
• Better timezone recognition in user preferences.
• Improved diff readability for colorblind people.
• The interwiki links table can now be accessed also when the interwiki cache is used (used in the API and the Interwiki extension).
• More gender support (for instance in logs and user lists).
• Language converter improved, e.g. it now works depending on the page content language.
• Time and number-formatting magic words also now depend on the page content language.
• Bidirectional support further improved after 1.18.

Report any problems on the labs beta wiki and we'll work to address them before they software is released to the production wikis.

Update on IPv6

The Wikimedia Foundation is planning to do limited testing of IPv6 on June 2-3. If there are not too many problems, we may fully enable IPv6 on World IPv6 day (June 6), and keep it enabled.

What this means for your project:

• At least on June 2-3, 2012, you may see a small number of edits from IPv6 addresses, which are in the form "2001:0db8:85a3:0000:0000:8a2e:0370:7334". See e.g. w:en:IPv6 address. These addresses should behave like any other IP address: You can leave messages on their talk pages; you can track their contributions; you can block them. (See the full version of this announcement for notes on range blocks.)

• In the mid term, some user scripts and tools will need to be adapted for IPv6.

• We suspect that IPv6 usage is going to be very low initially, meaning that abuse should be manageable, and we will assist in the monitoring of the situation.

Read the full version of this announcement on how to test the behavior of IPv6 with various tools and how to leave bug reports, and to find a fuller analysis of the implications of the IPv6 migration.

Mobile view as default view coming soon

The mobile view of this project and others will soon become the default view on mobile devices (except tablets). Some language versions of these projects currently show no content on the mobile home page, and it is a good time to do a little formatting so users get a mobile-friendly view, or to add to existing mobile content if some already exists.

Help decide about more than $10 million of Wikimedia donations in the coming year

As many of you are aware, the Wikimedia Board of Trustees recently initiated important changes in the way that money is being distributed within the Wikimedia movement. As part of this, a new community-led "Funds Dissemination Committee" (FDC) is currently being set up. Already in 2012-13, its recommendations will guide the decisions about the distribution of over 10 million US dollars among the Foundation, chapters and other eligible entities.

Now, seven capable, knowledgeable and trustworthy community members are sought to volunteer on the initial Funds Dissemination Committee. It is expected to take up its work in September. In addition, a community member is sought to be the Ombudsperson for the FDC process. If you are interested in joining the committee, read the call for volunteers. Nominations are planned to close on August 15.

Wikidata is getting close to a first roll-out

As some of you might already have heard Wikimedia Deutschland is working on a new Wikimedia project. It is called m:Wikidata. The goal of Wikidata is to become a central data repository for the Wikipedias, its sister projects and the world. In the future it will hold data like the number of inhabitants of a country, the date of birth of a famous person or the length of a river. These can then be used in all Wikimedia projects and outside of them.

The project is divided into three phases and "we are getting close to roll-out the first phase". The phases are:

1. language links in the Wikipedias (making it possible to store the links between the language editions of an article just once in Wikidata instead of in each linked article)
2. infoboxes (making it possible to store the data that is currently in infoboxes in one central place and share the data)
3. lists (making it possible to create lists and similar things based on queries to Wikidata so they update automatically when new data is added or modified)

It'd be great if you could join us, test the demo version, provide feedback and take part in the development of Wikidata. You can find all the relevant information including an FAQ and sign-up links for our on-wiki newsletter on the Wikidata page on Meta.

Upcoming software changes - please report any problems

All Wikimedia wikis - including this one - will soon be upgraded with new and possibly disruptive code. This process starts today and finishes on October 24 (see the upgrade schedule & code details).

Please watch for problems with:

• revision diffs
• templates
• CSS and JavaScript pages (like user scripts)
• bots
• PDF export
• images, video, and sound, especially scaling sizes
• the CologneBlue skin

If you notice any problems, please report problems at our defect tracker site. You can test for possible problems at test2.wikipedia.org and mediawiki.org, which have already been updated.

Fundraising localization: volunteers from outside the USA needed

The Wikimedia Foundation's Fundraising team have begun our 'User Experience' project, with the goal of understanding the donation experience in different countries outside the USA and enhancing the localization of our donation pages. I am searching for volunteers to spend 30 minutes on a Skype chat with me, reviewing their own country's donation pages. It will be done on a 'usability' format (I will ask you to read the text and go through the donation flow) and will be asking your feedback in the meanwhile.

The only pre-requisite is for the volunteer to actually live in the country and to have access to at least one donation method that we offer for that country (mainly credit/debit card, but also real-time banking like IDEAL, E-wallets, etc...) so we can do a live test and see if the donation goes through. All volunteers will be reimbursed of the donations that eventually succeed (and they will be low amounts, like 1-2 dollars)

By helping us you are actually helping thousands of people to support our mission of free knowledge across the world. We have talked to many different people in different countries and their feedback has helped us immensely in restructuring our pages. Wikimedia sites to move to primary data center in Ashburn, Virginia. Read-only mode expected.

(Apologies if this message isn't in your language.) Next week, the Wikimedia Foundation will transition its main technical operations to a new data center in Ashburn, Virginia, USA. This is intended to improve the technical performance and reliability of all Wikimedia sites, including this wiki. There will be some times when the site will be in read-only mode, and there may be full outages; the current target windows for the migration are January 22nd, 23rd and 24th, 2013, from 17:00 to 01:00 UTC (see other timezones on timeanddate.com). Розробники таки знайшли можливість вирішення проблеми сортування в категоріях (щоб було АБВГҐДЕЄЖЗИІЇЙКЛМНОПРСТУФХЦЧШЩЬЮЯ замість теперішнього ЄІЇАБВГДЕЖЗИЙКЛМНОПРСТУФХЦЧШЩЬЮЯҐ). Докладніше див. тут і тут. Для зміни порядку сортування потрібно змінити порівняння (collation) бази даних MySQL. Convert complex templates to Lua to make them faster and more powerful

Greetings. As you might have seen on the Wikimedia tech blog or the tech ambassadors list, a new functionality called "Lua" is being enabled on all Wikimedia sites today. Lua is a scripting language that enables you to write faster and more powerful MediaWiki templates.

If you have questions about how to convert existing templates to Lua (or how to create new ones), we'll be holding two support sessions on IRC next week: one on Wednesday (for Oceania, Asia & America) and one on Friday (for Europe, Africa & America); see m:IRC office hours for the details. If you can't make it, you can also get help at mw:Talk:Lua scripting.

[en] Change to section edit links

The default position of the "edit" link in page section headers is going to change soon. The "edit" link will be positioned adjacent to the page header text rather than floating opposite it.

Section edit links will be to the immediate right of section titles, instead of on the far right. If you're an editor of one of the wikis which already implemented this change, nothing will substantially change for you; however, scripts and gadgets depending on the previous implementation of section edit links will have to be adjusted to continue working; however, nothing else should break even if they are not updated in time.

Ideas to do this all the way to 2009 at least. It is often difficult to track which of several potential section edit links on the far right is associated with the correct section, and many readers and anonymous or new editors may even be failing to notice section edit links at all, since they read section titles, which are far away from the links.

Recent software changes

• The latest version of MediaWiki (version 1.22/wmf4) was added to non-Wikipedia wikis on May 13, and to the English Wikipedia (with a Wikidata software update) on May 20. It will be updated on all other Wikipedia sites on May 22. [1] [2]
• A software update will perhaps result in temporary issues with images. Please report any problems you notice. [3]
• MediaWiki recognizes links in twelve new schemes. Users can now link to SSH, XMPP and Bitcoin directly from wikicode. [4]
• VisualEditor was added to all content namespaces on mediawiki.org on May 20. [5]
• A new extension ("TemplateData") was added to all Wikipedia sites on May 20. It will allow a future version of VisualEditor to edit templates. [6]
• New sites: Greek Wikivoyage and Venetian Wiktionary joined the Wikimedia family last week; the total number of project wikis is now 794. [7] [8]
• The logo of 18 Wikipedias was changed to version 2.0 in a third group of updates. [9]
• The UploadWizard on Commons now shows links to the old upload form in 55 languages (bug 33513). [10]

Future software changes

• The next version of MediaWiki (version 1.22/wmf5) will be added to Wikimedia sites starting on May 27. [11]
• An updated version of Notifications, with new features and fewer bugs, will be added to the English Wikipedia on May 23. [12]
• The final version of the "single user login" (which allows people to use the same username on different Wikimedia wikis) is moved to August 2013. The software will automatically rename some usernames. [13]
• A new discussion system for MediaWiki, called "Flow", is under development. Wikimedia designers need your help to inform other users, test the prototype and discuss the interface. [14].
